Lightweight, ultra strong, slim and rigid free-floating NordLok handguard. It has unique contour that makes it ultra strong and versatile. NordLok contour makes handguard stronger than M-LOK and way stronger than KeyMod. Picatinny rail modules can be installed at every 15 mm / 0.6" compared to M-LOKs' 40 mm / 1.6" or KeyMods' 20 mm / 0.8".
Nord Arm's NordLok handguards' outer diameter is only 40 mm / 1.6" to fit every shooters' hand for firm grip. Handguards' special contour ensures no hand slipping whatsoever, whether you grip it with bare hand or with a glove. Free-floating means the handguard does not touch the barrel and therefore does not negatively affect the accuracy of the rifle. Flat top handguard does not have picatinny accessory rail in the middle part of the top of the handguard, allowing shooter to rest the thumb of the supporting hand better on top of the handguard. Hardcoat anodized aluminum tube, barrel nut and titanium bolts only weigh 220 grams / 7.8 oz, keeping the rifles' overall weight down. Nord Arms has developed special barrel nut for Nord Arms handguards (included with the handguard), that fits perfectly under gas tube allowing maximum tightening without the need to align it with upper receiver's gas hole.
Use picatinny rail modules (NA-HG-RNL, not included) to attach bipods or other accessories to the handguard. You can also attach NA's strong barrier stops (NA-HG-BSNL, not included) or Quick Detach Swivel Mounts (NA-HG-QDNL, not included) directly to NordLok contour. NordLok handguards also accept direct attachment of M-LOK accessories.
The channel for the gas tube is 12 mm / 0.47" wide, so it will not fit gas blocks with larger upper part (for example our side adjustable gas block). If planning to use our gas block, choose front adjustable or non-adjustable gas block.
