The MK V Competition Compensator is the final product of JP's years of compensator (re)development. The result is the most effective, flatest-shooting comp JP has ever produced. And since there's no point in starting in second place, JP put this design up against the best comps on the market and didn't start cutting chips until JP could confirm they topped out on performance.

For decades, JP's Recoil Eliminator was the unmatched king of comps. After it was exiled to 3-Gun's Open division for being too effective, JP did what JP could to harness its power in a 1"x3" profile with their Competition Series line. But with years of continuing innovation across the industry, JP knew there was an even better way than just throwing gasses against baffles. The result is a comp far more effective than JP could ever have imagined back in the 90s.

After years of rigorous theorizing, iterating, and testing, the MK V Competition Comp is the outgrowth of JP's Signature Series limited run of premium welded brakes released in 2024. JP spent another year refining that design along with the manufacturing to make this amazing design more accessible. The MK V is the new pinnacle of JP compensator design and recoil reduction innovation with greater than 30% improvement in recoil reduction over our original Recoil Eliminator.
